Position: Full-Time Residential Youth Therapist - $2000 sign on bonus
Status: Exempt (Salary), $43,680 to $49,740 - Commensurate with qualifications and experience; +$2000 sign on bonus, with mileage reimbursement for driving for this role.
Location: Kalamazoo, MI; Hybrid work environment with some work-from-home time
Schedule: Services are provided weekdays, with some evening, weekend, and holiday hours and days. On-Call responsibilities are a part of this job.

SUMMARY
Provides comprehensive clinical treatment services to youth placed in residential youth services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities associated with this job will change from time to time in accordance with the agency's program and business needs.
- Complete comprehensive assessment, utilizing program assessment tools, develop treatment plans and individualized safety/crisis plans with youth and families/caregivers.
- Provide interventions that focus on stabilizing the youth; teaching and modeling effective strategies and coping skills; identifying, increasing, and utilizing natural strengths, supports, and resources; preparing for crisis situations; improvement in overall functioning.
- Offer a variety of clinical interventions including trauma-specific, best practice and evidence-based models.
- Coordinate care with additional services such as psychiatry, nursing, medical, and educational services.
- Complete reports as required by contract.
- Participate in discharge planning with referral source, caregiver/family, and other professionals.
- Provide clinical on-call support to youth and direct care staff on a rotating basis, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Provide Mobile Crisis Response Program services, as needed to assist the program.
- Provide accurate monitoring and documentation of all case related activities to fulfill program obligations and requirements.
- Deliver, at a minimum annually, a Specialist and DCS training on topics related to best ways to interact with the youth to support their therapeutic treatment and in a trauma-sensitive manner.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum MSW/MA in a mental health-related field from an accredited school
- Individual with specialized training and one year of experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families
- Must be trained or have the ability to be trained in administration of program assessment tools
- Preferred experience in TF/CBT, DBT, MI and family systems work
- Trained or willingness to be trained in First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Lived experiences with behavioral health issues are desired
- Education, training, and/or knowledge of the impacts of trauma on individuals, children and families is desired.
- Successfully pass an annual TB test and document preference to receive or decline Hepatitis immunization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Licensure as a LLMSW, LLCP, LMSW or LPC in the State of Michigan required
- Certification in Mandt, First Aid, CPR, and AED, or be willing to trained and certified with 60 days of hire
- Valid driver's license and driving record and insurance which complies with agency policy
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Must be able to transport clients in own vehicle; this includes adult clients and their children.
- Primarily work environment is a residential living space, but periodically required to travel to other offices and/or external parties and community outings with the youth.
- Ability to provide a clear TB test is required for this role.
- Pre-employment physical is required for this role.
