JOB SUMMARY
Evaluates learning and development needs for assigned unit and coordinates training to address identified needs. Responsible for assessing and ensuring staff competency is maintained for both new hires as well as experienced staff. Develops and coordinates patient education as needed for the assigned unit. Develops and facilitates various educational courses. Coordinates and helps navigate the new hire onboarding experience. JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
Certification & Licensures:
- Completes 4 hours of education specific to learning and development annually.
- Obtains American Heart Association instructor status within 6 months of hire and maintains (every two years).
- Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri
- BLS Certification
Experience:
3 years of nursing experience required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledgeable in the nursing process, quality, and principles of adult learning theory.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organization skills.
- Able to provide constructive feedback and facilitate collaboration.
