Clinical Data Scientist Supervisor (Remote)
Mountain Pacific is seeking a full-time Clinical Data Scientist Supervisor to lead the Clinical Analyst Support Team. The Clinical Data Scientist Supervisor will provide oversight and ensure the scientific and statistical rigor of data manipulation, quality assurance activities, analyses, data product development, and expert interpretation in support of deliverables with a focus on Clinical Data insights. This position works on assigned contracts and is available for ad hoc requests, as needed. This position requires cooperative work in a team setting with other analysts, account managers, communications staff, clinical staff, and external providers and stakeholders. The data to be analyzed include Medicare and Medicaid claims data, survey data, and public and proprietary population health information from various sources. Analyses and report preparation are routinely performed using MS Office tools, R, SQL and SAS programming languages and software.
The clinical analytics team serves a dynamic group of expert pharmacists, nurses, and quality improvement professionals who want to explore data surrounding key healthcare questions. Our field staff meet regularly with the healthcare providers in our regions to find solutions. We need creative analysts to contribute. That includes the technical skills to push our analyses and data visualizations forward, and the openness to learn what questions to pursue from our staff and clinical partners.
Preferred Technical Skills: SAS, SQL, R/Python, Power BI/Tableau dashboard construction, familiarity with healthcare billing data, knowledge of demographic research sources and methodologies, statistical methods, and predictive analytics. Experience in an analytic or consulting role within public health, a healthcare system or research capacity is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, health sciences, analytics or data science and supervisory experience preferred with at least 5 years of experience. Travel may be required for this position, targeted compensation of this position is $101,000-$127,000 a year. Preferred candidate will have non-profit experience and be located in one of the following states AK, AZ, CA, ID, HI, MT, ND, NV, SD, UT, WA, WY.
