CDM SENIOR PROGRAMMER
SUMMARY:
As a Clinical Data Management (CDM) Senior Programmer, you will be responsible for utilizing the R and/or Python programming languages to create both textual and graphical data displays that facilitate data cleaning and data review. You will collaborate closely with CDM's data managers and data analysts to craft data displays that streamline the data cleaning/review process. This role requires a strong background in R/Python's data wrangling and data presentation capabilities. You will also assist with the mentoring of novice R/Python programmers in the R/Python programming languages, and lead projects involving task automations, system integrations, and overall process improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead efforts to programmatically improve the efficiencies of CDM's processes as they relate to data monitoring and cleaning
• Utilize R/Python to restructure and present raw clinical trial data in ways that streamline the data cleaning and data review processes
• Work closely with CDM's data managers and analysts to develop data displays that best facilitate the data cleaning and data review processes
• Automate data processing tasks to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency
• Create data visualizations, including dashboards, to present Clinical Data effectively
• Write and maintain R/Python programs that include comments describing the steps performed throughout the R/Python program
• Contribute to the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Clinical Data Management programming
• Provide R/Python programming guidance/training to novice R/Python programmers
• Assist with the drafting of Data Transfer Agreements (DTA) and the subsequent processing of received data transfers
• Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (e.g., Data Science, Mathematics, Physical/Life Sciences)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an R/Python programmer, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting but not essential
