Job description

SUMMARY: The Clinical Data Analyst position interfaces with administration and departmental leadership to understand processes and reporting requirements while suggesting solutions. The position is the key direct contact to develop a consistent Process Improvement Program throughout the organization which allows our clinical teams to maximize efficiencies. The analyst works with the Oncology providers to optimize work flows and spreadable processes. The Analyst uses analytic tools to achieve reporting needs of the organization and presents data in such a manner that it can be used to make business decisions.

  • Create, maintain and optimize reports that support Green Bay Oncology
  • Analyze data to support business initiatives
  • Support the CFO in business analysis and trending
  • Use open minded creative thinking to improve processes, analytics and reporting for Green Bay Oncology
  • Validate and Interpret data necessary for clinic operations and decision making
  • Use multiple reporting tools to produce desired results
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
  • Serve as the key contact to initiate Improvement and efficiency projects
  • Consult with users to review processes, identify business requirements and determine if lean process improvements can be made
  • Understand the big picture of clinic operations to know what impact a change in process will have throughout the organization
  • Track and measure success of improvements to established metrics
  • Work with managers to support productivity metrics
  • Efficiently work with all areas in Green Bay Oncology
  • Work with staff to maximize efficiencies and patient flow
  • Connect the reporting to the input needed by the providers to make data useful
  • Promote and maintain confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and ability to check work for accuracy.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to take charge while remaining approachable, respectful and understanding.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work with multiple reporting software (Excel, Access, Crystal Reports a plus, analytic software) and Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is preferred
  • Previous work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Project management skills and statistics are a plus.


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Occasionally lift up 10 lbs. Rarely push/pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand; sit; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; twist; bend; walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands, arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and to adjust focus.
  • Sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work is generally performed in an office setting; desk/cubicle with chair, computer and phone
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • This job operates in a health care setting. This role occasionally comes into contact with patients who may have a contagious illness.
