Job Summary: The Lead Clinician is responsible for assuring appropriate medical and behavioral health supports and services for all students served by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit Partial Hospitalization Program.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate, direct and review the implementation of partial hospitalization program services guidelines and procedures.
- Coordinate, implement and review all treatment documents and outcome measures for students entering the Bucks IU PHP programs.
- Ensure all staff are trained and experienced in the use of the modalities proposed in the treatment design for the PHP
- Ensure that child or youth in treatment is encouraged to become increasingly involved in the treatment planning process
- Build relationships with referral sources and community resources for discharge planning
- Timely review of referrals and initiation of the intake process
- Facilitate weekly treatment team meetings and clinical supervision meetings
- Conduct evaluations of treatment team staff
- Maintain appropriate records and prepare such records for inspections and audits and in compliance with governing regulations
- Ensure adequate psychiatric services including the management of any contract for such services and in accordance with program regulations
- Assure quality of service through continuously monitoring effectiveness of interventions, identifying ongoing training needs, and reporting concerns and needs to administration
- Communicate with billing specialist to ensure adherence to billing requirements and timely submission of billing
- Monitor progress toward discharge goals and assist with discharge planning
- Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility: This position includes clinical oversight; however the Lead Clinician does not have any direct supervision responsibilities.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, 220-day calendar position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours are dependent on the needs of the districts. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Travel required throughout the county
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Level of Degree:
- Master's Degree
- Licensed in Pennsylvania as a Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist or Clinical Social Worker
- Five years post-graduate experience with children, adolescents and families in behavioral health treatment
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience and training in trauma informed, trauma sensitive care
- Supervision of licensed, clinical social workers and/or therapists preferred
- Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness preferred
- Knowledge of 55 Pa. Code Chapter 5210.31 regulations and implementation of such regulations
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
