The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Clinical Coding Auditor to support Cooley Dickinson Medical Group in a 100% remote capacity. Focused on compliance and coding, the Auditor is responsible for the usage of the most accurate codes for reimbursement purposes, statistical analysis outcomes, and financial and strategic planning. Is it essential that the Auditor not only demonstrates the knowledge of coding principles but also the ability to apply those principles in practice.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced coder to work one on one with providers and their teams on accuracy, trends and planning. The ideal candidate will be an individual who is comfortable identifying trends and presenting the data in a meaningful way.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required, relevant college education preferred.
  • CPC required upon hire, CPMA required within 12 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years auditing and physician billing experience required, preferably in a multi-specialty physician group.
  • Knowledge of classification systems, including CPT, E&M, ICD-10, and HCPCS nomenclature, coding rules and guidelines, coding conventions established by the American Medical Association, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid, and AAPC for assignment of diagnostic and procedural codes required.
  • Familiarity with eClinical Works and/or EPIC preferred.
