Summary
The Department of Surgery, Section of Transplantation, is seeking candidates for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, on the clinical track. Clinical responsibilities will include multiorgan transplantation, dialysis access surgery, and living and deceased donor surgery. Depending on qualifications and demonstrated interest in collaborative leadership, the candidate may be considered for a role of Surgical Director of Dialysis Access Surgery.
Candidates should be committed to clinical excellence, and dedicated to teaching, innovation, and scholarship. Strongest consideration will be given to candidates who bring diverse perspective, background and training to the position and our Section.
The transplant program at University of Michigan is one of the oldest and largest in the country. Our group takes pride in our collaborative team approach and is dedicated to the training of medical students, surgical residents, and our American Society of Transplant Surgeons abdominal transplant fellows.

Required Qualifications*
Candidate must be board eligible or board certified in General Surgery and must have completed an ASTS approved transplant surgery fellowship. Candidate must hold or can obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan and Federal DEA registration. Candidates should have appropriate qualification for consideration of the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
