Form of workRedfield Clinic has an exciting opportunity to make the first impression of our Clinic as a Receptionist/Scheduler for patient registration and scheduling.Job Summary:
Individual will answer phones, schedule appointments using electronic medical record software, and assist with billing and medical records.Essential Job Functions:
- Respects the dignity, confidentiality and privacy of patients
- Able to use appropriate judgment in scheduling patients when making appointments
- Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures in office.
- Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families.
- Messages are taken accurately and forwarded consistently and timely.
- Monitor patient waiting times to inform appropriate personnel
- Payments/collections taken and receipts given to patients
- Knowledge of insurance plans and procedures. Obtain correct insurance information when applicable to a scheduled appointment.
- Assists in retrieving and filing charts in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Self-paced, works quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education
- 6 months experience in a clinic or office setting preferred
- Written and oral communication skills and medical terminology experience preferred.
- Computer knowledge and skills preferred
