Primary Purpose:
Assists physician by performing and documenting initial nursing assessment of patients. Administers medications and injections as directed by physician. Performs venipuncture and lab procedures as required. Assists physician in performing minor surgical procedures and examinations.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications: Current LPN/LVN License; CPR required.
Required Certification, Registration, License: Licensed in the State of Louisiana or Privilege to Practice with license in primary state of residence
Experience: Minimum of one year experience as an LPN in a physician clinic setting.
Special Skills/Knowledge: Possess basic computer skills. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective communication with patients, medical staff and coworkers. Good oral communication skills.
Equipment and Materials Knowledge: Medical equipment as it relates to patient care; Computer equipment needed to assigned duties; safety equipment.
