Oversees the quality control/quality improvement domain for the state mandated population-based Greater Bay Area Cancer Registry, which is responsible for reporting quality data to state (California Department of Public Health, California Cancer Registry) and federal (National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) Program) funders. Implements methods for quality control; and for collecting, analyzing, storing, retrieving and reporting patient medical information and statistics, in accordance with state and federal laws and standards of accrediting and regulatory agencies. Supervises staff and provides education and training on collecting and accurately reporting patient medical information.
