Climbing Wall Staff

Position Summary
Climbing Wall Staff are responsible for ensuring safety and building community at the indoor Climbing Wall. The staff checks in each climber, makes sure they complete the Climbing Wall assumption of risk and release of liability, teach new climbers the skills they need to climb at the wall, and supervise all Climbing Wall use during open hours. Climbing Wall Staff also teach clinics on specific climbing skills, oversee events at the wall such as climbing comps, and attend regular staff meetings. Climbing Wall Staff also supports Routesetters, perform regular cleaning and maintenance at the Climbing Wall.

Additional Requirements
Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required., Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch required., Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds required.

- Excitement for learning and teaching about rock climbing
Any Required Course Work or Certification Needed for Position:
- CPR & FIrst Aid (can be acquired at no cost after hiring)
- Climbing Wall Staff Training
