Salary:

DiGeronimo Companies is looking for a Client Systems Administrator II to join our team. In this role, you will work with a variety of internal-customers and demonstrate service excellence in providing solution delivery support.


A key element in this role is having in-depth knowledge of the installation, maintenance, and security of client endpoint hardware (including desktop PCs, laptops, mobile devices, telephony devices, and peripherals). This role will also provide service desk support across the enterprise and administration of key infrastructure and business applications.


Success in this role is demonstrated by providing clear technical support and swiftly resolving issues with client endpoints, determining common issues to promptly address all user concerns.


This position reports to the IT Services Manager and will work out of our Independence, OH office.

A typical day looks like:


  • Providing expert technical support and guidance for incidents and service requests related to client endpoint hardware. Triaging incoming calls, identifying, researching, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Interfacing directly with end-users, managing their assets to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Efficiently managing the ticket queue, closing incidents in a timely manner while verifying customer satisfaction. Clearly documenting issue details and resolutions using the designated ticketing system.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining user hardware and operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Supporting and maintaining Client Systems, applications, security, and network configurations.
  • Coordinating and leading small teams, including external contractors, to support specific projects within departmental plans.
  • Analyzing current issues and contributing to the development of long-term strategies for resolution.
  • Identifying capacity planning needs for future growth and scalability.
  • Managing client PC images and the deployment process.
  • Ensuring client endpoints receive security and feature patching as required and remediating failed patches.
  • Packaging third-party applications for deployment.
  • Maintaining inventory and asset tracking of all hardware. Recording software resources and parts in the designated CMDB.
  • Assessing functional needs to determine specifications for purchasing new technologies and solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation, ensuring accuracy through the change process.
  • Assisting in the development of standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines. Assisting with hardware and software evaluation.
  • Participating actively in IT department projects, including infrastructure/hardware upgrades, software upgrades, and migrations.
  • Supporting network infrastructure and business applications.
  • Undertaking other duties as assigned.

 

Do you have what it takes?


  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in information systems, computer science, or MIS.
  • Microsoft certifications or A+ certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in an enterprise IT environment. Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role.
  • Essential experience in managing and provisioning Windows endpoints via endpoint management solution (Intune experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with software packaging and deployment (MSI, AppX, Win32/IntuneWin, LOB).
  • Proficiency with:
    • Windows operating systems
    • Client endpoint hardware
    • Mobile device management (iOS and Android)
  • Experience with creating and deploying task sequences via MDT/SCCM or similar technologies.
  • Prior experience deploying PCs with Windows Autopilot is a plus.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking and related network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with account and group management in Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft 365 features and licensing, supporting collaboration technologies like Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create end-user facing guides and documentation.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical individuals.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in a timely and organized manner.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours, as well as periodic travel to other offices and job sites. This position will participate in an on-call rotation.
  • This position requires the ability to lift computers and printers up to 50lbs onto desks. You also need to be able to crawl under desks to disconnect computer equipment. This is a job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
