The Director, Client Strategy will be integral in driving business and brand strategies for some of our customers, a collection of global ambitious brands. You will help lead a global team and grow PMG's relationship with a Fortune 500 brand/brands while driving strategic and key strategic projects across the globe. The Director, Client Strategy will be responsible for working cross functionally across our disciplines (media, strategy, creative, data and tech), managing, mentoring and growing the team and have full visibility and input into Client Financials and profitability. In your role, you will be part of the agency's wider leadership team, driving the future and direction not just of your customers you partner with but overall agency.
General Description:

  • Managing a diverse team of managers and leads by overseeing their day-to-day work and their overall professional career development
  • Communication across large groups of clients, with direct lines of communication to key decision makers on the client side
  • Oversight and management across large clients in multiple verticals
  • Accountable for evaluation of P&L, meeting profitability goals, identifying growth and cross sell opportunities and assessing effective resourcing needs and support
  • Strategically guiding the client partnership, including the improvement and further integration of media plans across channels, greater incorporation of insights into plans and vision for the client, and targeting broader business goals (beyond media metrics)
  • Consistently evaluating the needs of the business and addressing areas of weakness, as an example: team design, relationships, results, processes, or any upcoming challenges
  • Accountable for driving results against multitude of goals across the funnel and tracking progress toward goals and commitments at an executive level, and reporting on them to decision-makers
  • Navigating the client's internal structure, which will include considerable in-person time, identifying and partnering with key stakeholders on any given project, and facilitating broad communication to eliminate obstacles that may arise from the various complexities of a matrixed organization
  • Understanding and challenging the limits of performance among the various channels, including those managed internally, by PMG, and those managed by others
  • Quickly and effectively clearing roadblocks that may pop up for any one or group of the client teams, so ensure they can meet or exceed expectations and be effective
  • Playing a variety of supporting roles (active and leading vs. passive and there-if-needed, along with everything in between) in any of dozens of meetings with the client, at several levels of seniority
  • Working with media leads to create and foster key partner relationships (Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc.) so PMG is always at the forefront of opportunities, betas, and overall support
  • Lead executive level communication and strategic planning, nurturing, and advancing relationships with key business stakeholders

Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of related work experience with an emphasis in Sports Marketing, plus 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in multi-channel digital marketing and managing digital media campaigns with KPIs against each stage of the funnel
  • Prior experience managing professional sports and team contract in an agency environment
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Fast, accurate, and authoritative analysis, forecasting, and decision-making
  • Strong management and team development skills
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Record of lasting, mutually beneficial business relationships
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Logical, organized, and ruthless at prioritizing
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to both individually build and fully delegate to a team the construction of a clear, focused presentation for any audience
  • Strong presentation skills with proficiency in either PowerPoint or Keynote
