Client Relationship Manager
We are currently looking for a full-time Client Relationship Manager to join our growing team at Old Port Advisors. Established in 1994 and based in the heart of downtown Portland, we pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic and collaborative work culture that prioritizes our clients' needs above all else. In this role, you'll work closely with our team of Wealth Advisors, playing a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client service and support. From handling administrative tasks to actively engaging in client meetings and addressing their financial planning needs, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with clients to address inquiries, gather necessary information, and ensure timely processing of account related requests.
- Perform high-priority administrative tasks, such as account opening, processing transfers, distributions, and general maintenance.
- Prepare client review meeting agendas and assist in meeting preparation.
- Update client financial planning information using multiple software applications.
- Coordinate communications with other estate, trust, and tax professionals.
- Track and ensure completion of tasks, while maintaining detailed and organized client files.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Take on or assist with ad hoc projects as needed to support firm objectives.
- Adhere to client confidentiality.
Skills & Qualifications
- Possess strong work ethic and time management skills.

- Strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Detail oriented, innovative, and analytical thinker.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and ability to learn internal portfolio management software.
- Driven, team-player.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Securities licensing or Professional Designations preferred
Experience:
- 3-5 years in Wealth Management or Financial Services profession.
- Experience working with major custodians, such as Charles Schwab and Fidelity.
- Strong computer skills required for navigation of databases including management of customer records.
- Experience with CRM and Financial Planning software a plus.
