We are currently recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Client Relationship Manager to continue the expansion of our New York Private Office. The role is based in New York however involves connecting into and working collaboratively with the wider Knight Frank network both regionally and globally. The primary accountability is to develop a book of wealthy (UHNW+) private clients and family offices, with a view to building long term relationships, to ultimately advise and transact with these clients.
Knight Frank's Private Office is a dedicated and fully-integrated team which allows the firm to advise, transact and manage long term relationships with high value private clients and family offices around the world. Knight Frank has a fully operational Private Office team of 15 people based in London with ambitious plans to expand the Private Office structure to key global 'wealth hubs' in the Knight Frank network - including New York.
In the Client Relationship Manager role you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and growing a database of wealthy private clients, family offices and wealth advisors in New York with a view to Knight Frank being their key service provider.
- Formulating clients acquisition tactics through workable sales strategy and execution of marketing event / sales activities to develop client base.
- Cultivating strong relationships with private banks, multi-family offices and trust companies and broaden the high-net-worth client networks.
- Working closely with US Private Office to deliver and manage a successful CRM program to provide best-in-class service to key clients and their advisors with a 'one team' approach to client management.
- Working with Knight Frank's Private Wealth Intelligence teams to identify and on-board new clients and targets.
- Managing new and existing relationships with key private wealth advisors to ensure that Knight Frank provides excellent service.
- Analyzing clients' needs and develop business in private wealth management but not limited to wealth creation, wealth accumulation, wealth enhancement, and wealth protection in terms of real estate asset management.
- Identifying and fulfilling the investment needs of the high-net-worth clients by providing thorough real estate analysis and cross-selling of Knight Frank service lines.
- Building a network of wealth advisors (private banks, law firms, family offices etc) as part of a business development strategy and drive a Private Office marketing and communications strategy.
- Generating maximum fees for the US Private Office business transacting directly, or referring into Knight Frank's service lines including, inter alia, property acquisitions, sales, leasing, consultancy and management. There will be a focus on working collaboratively with Knight Frank's global network and targeting clients with an outbound investment strategy.
- Generating holistic portfolio investment ideas, articulate investment concepts, create invest proposals and conduct portfolio reviews in terms of real estate asset management.
- Maintaining regular contact with Private Office HQ, overseas offices and key relationships throughout Knight Frank, and the prime Knight Frank sales network.
The ideal Client Relationship Manager will be / have:
- 5+ years' experience in a similar professional services role (ideally with a focus on Real Estate, private banking, or wealth management).
- Client-centric, with strong sales, analytic, teamwork, and relationship building skill.
- Familiar with investment strategies relevant to real estate with a wide knowledge of various overseas markets (ideally UK, US and other key European markets).
- Experienced in self-generating business leads, managing existing Knight Frank relationships and executing business transactions to generate maximum fees to Knight Frank.
- Happy to travel to and from various locations will be expected due to the nature of the role.
