Job Summary:
Genesis Drug Discovery and Development (GD3), a member of the Genesis Biotechnology Group, is a fully integrated CRO providing services to support drug discovery/development programs of our clients from target discovery through IND filing and managing Phase I-IV clinical trials. GD3 portfolio includes services for HTS and assay development, synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry, DMPK/in-vivo pharmacology and safety toxicology, as well as clinical trial services for the regulatory approval of novel drug and medical device products. GD3 harbors eleven sister companies within the US including BioBlocks, Comparative Biosciences, Ingenio, Invivotek, Integrated Analytical Solutions, JSS Medical Research, New England Discovery Partners, Organochem, PharmOptima, Statking and Venenum.
We are seeking professionals with Chemistry degrees, with working knowledge of pharmaceutical/CRO industries, who would like to explore a career move to Business Development for the industries. Successful candidates will hold positions ofClient Relationship Managersand will promote the company’s chemistry portfolio of drug discovery/development services to secure new accounts and to grow existing accounts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The position can be home based or at one of GD3’s sites in Hamilton, NJ or Branford, CT.
Responsibilities:
- Qualify new leads coming in through websites (focusing on chemistry) or existing customers, identify client’s needs and project scope
- Set up meeting with client, and facilitate NDA process as needed
- Perform basic level search to identify synthetic routes and chemical reagents (pricing and inventory status)
- Collaborate with chemistry BD senior members and scientists to perform feasibility assessments and to convert the opportunities into project proposals
- Develop proposals and assist with the execution of contracts and service agreements
- Assist in price negotiations
- Establish and maintain frequent contact with clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction on client issues and needs
- Contribute to developing and implementing the marketing and sales strategy (e.g., brochures, company presentations, website improvement)
- Maintain accurate and current contacts database for accounts (active and targeted); this includes account profiles, individual contact details, opportunities and communications
- Actively participating at professional meetings and conventions as appropriate
Job Requirements:
- BS, or MS degree in Chemistry with at least 2 to 3 years relevant lab experience
- Background in synthetic organic chemistry is preferred
- Experience or understanding of chemistry CRO space
- Good English communication and writing skill
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, good judgment and ability to communicate with a diverse range of professionals from the Drug Discovery and Development community
- Ability to recognize the needs of the customer and collaborate with scientific management of the Company to develop proposals
- Good organization skill and attention to detail
- Understanding the drug discovery and development process
