World Relief seeks a Client Care Specialist to carry a caseload of both newly arrived refugee clients and other vulnerable immigrant clients who are experiencing barriers to self-sufficiency. Client Care Specialist will greet newcomers at the airport, meet clients in their homes to assess well-being, and help clients achieve their goals by developing plans for their resettlement.
Role & Responsibilities
    • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Greet refugee clients at the airport upon arrival and coordinate clients' first meal, transportation to their new home, and other details
    • Visit clients in their homes to assess their well-being and determine current needs
    • Provide additional home visits to minor cases (clients who arrive without their parents) and assess placements with guardians, as required by grant funding
    • Meet with clients to enroll them in various programs by providing orientations on services and completing enrollment paperwork
    • Develop service plans for each case member with an emphasis on achieving self-sufficiency goals within the program service period
    • Assist clients in developing goals for their service plans and implement a plan to work toward goal completion
    • Transport clients to essential appointments such as medical appointments, ELL program registration, school registration for children, etc.
    • Assist clients in opening bank accounts
    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients enrolled in various programs and be available to clients during normal business hours of Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
    • Report on client needs to other Refugee Programs staff during regular collaborative case management meetings • Advocate on behalf of clients and collaborate with community agencies on referrals based on their unique needs
    • Connect with World Relief volunteers paired with clients to provide welcome and support
    • Record all client interactions and progress in case notes utilizing online databases
    • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    • Adaptable
    • Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
    • Ability to communicate effectively cross-culturally, both with clients and diverse team • Some working knowledge of community resources, preferred
    • Fluent in Arabic, Dari, Kinyarwanda, Spanish, Swahili, or Ukrainian, preferred

Requirements
    • Mature and personal Christian faith
    • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
    • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
    • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
    • Valid drivers license, ability to pass a motor vehicle record check and maintain a clean driving record

$20 - $22 an hour

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations
• The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-15 pounds.
• Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.
• The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.
• Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.
• Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
