Description
The Client Advocate Specialist will be responsible for supervising, supporting, and providing excellent customer care for clients, families and referral sources in our Milestones trauma center at Onsite. The Client Advocate Support Specialist will work closely with the Clinical and Administrative teams at Milestones to meet the needs of the client as well as the marketplace.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor center to ensure safety of clients; supervise client chore assignments and their completion; maintain cleanliness, sanitation and upkeep of facility, performing minor maintenance and clean up duties as necessary
- Perform drug testing as needed; obtain medication from client at intake and store in medication closet; provide medication for self-administration after hours as provided by Licensed Practical Nurse
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Lead group activities as needed
- Ensure orientation of new clients upon admission
- Complete room checks, roll calls, safety checks and client supervision checks
- Conduct safety drills and document appropriately; perform proper protocol in relation to emergency situations
- Walking campus trails, up to a mile in distance, to support and assist clients, staff, visitors
- Ensure program schedule is maintained and coordinate with staff to ensure consistent delivery of services
- Responsible for maintaining accurate logs, shift reports, and client records
- Drive clients to outside activities and make certain they are supervised and needs are met
- Inform therapists by providing daily check in as to client needs

What you want to know:
- Pay range $15 - $17 per hour (depending on experience)
- Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Bi-weekly pay
- Requires a valid driver's license
Requirements
Education and/or Experience: High school education with college level training preferred; 12 Step/recovery process and services and experience with adult residential treatment settings preferred; Experience in conflict resolution preferred; Ability to maintain composure when managing crisis situations and implement de-escalation techniques required; Valid driver’s license required.
