Job Overview
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for efficiently coordinating Inbound shipments and Outbound orders. The position is required to maintain both the quality and good document practices required through organizing, coordinating, and completing all the necessary paperwork required per the outlined process. The position is responsible for the start or end of flow of merchandise in or out of the distribution center.
the hours of work for this position is 7:00am to 3:30pm
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Receive packages, materials, and supplies and verify the quantity and quality against shipping and packing slips
- Maintains PO discrepancies Overs, shorts, and damages (OS&D). Documents all Inbound shipments
- Supports ISO/FDA audits by ensuring accurate transactional information in Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
- Enter and update inventory levels in the system when they receive or ship merchandise
- Prepare orders and ensure they are complete, accurate, and ready for delivery
- Assists in warehousing activities when needed or designated to by the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow all safety procedures and quality regulations as required by the task being carried out
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in receiving in amedical manufacturing environment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience working in regulated or quality environment
- Knowledgeable of good document practices (GDP)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurately, and maintaining safety at all times.
- Must have good communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment and interact with employees at all levels
- Ability to operate material handling equipment is a plus
- Proficient using Microsoft Office suite.
Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions
- Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions
- Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments
- May work extended hours during peak business cycles
- Able to work onsite from Mon-Friday.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
The base salary for the position is a min of $16.70/hour and a max of $21/hour
