Job Description
PERKS

MAJOR RESPONIBILITIES
- Under supervision, with latitude for independent judgment, perform moderately difficult and responsible clerical work.
- Perform data entry into computer programs, ensuring that all data is entered accurately, and information is organized and easily retrievable.
- Provide general office support. Prepare reports, log correspondence, verify information and track phone calls. Process and route correspondence to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain accurate and current filing system.
- Prepare various reports and briefings using data and information supplied by managers and supervisors.
- Track, distribute, compose, and edit correspondence to constituents and other agencies to meet Agency deadlines.
- Perform clerical work in relation to records, files, invoices and reports.
- Identify and communicate emerging issues to supervisor.
Duration: 6 months, Spring 2024 to Fall 2024
Location: 850 East 138th Street, Bronx, NY
Fees Hired candidates will be subject to a processing fee of $54.00. Hired candidates who are not currently employed by the City will be subject to an $88.25 background check fee.

Preferred Skills
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. 2. Knowledge of Asset Management Parks System (AMPS) or ability to learn. 3. Excellent communication, customer service, analytical and writing skills. 4. Ability to work flexible hours, nights and weekends as needed. 5. Strong customer service, organizational and communication skills.

Residency Requirement
Residency in New York City, Nassau, Orange, Rockland, Suffolk, Putnam or Westchester counties required for employees with over two years of city service. New York City residency required within 90 days of hire for all other candidates.
