Cleaning/Stockroom Supervisor 2nd Shift
Overview:
This position is responsible for supervision all Precision Cleaning and Space Stockroom activities, people and processes during the 2nd Shift. The key responsibility of this role is to supervise the assigned staff in carrying out Storage, Picking/Kitting, Cycle Counting, and Physical Inventory accuracy, Precision Cleaning, General Cleaning and Surface Treatment. Issue resolution, coverage scheduling and partnership building with Operations personnel are included in this role's responsibilities. The Supervisor will provide weekly status updates and support efforts for continuous process improvement.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of related experience in a production/operations environment preferred
  • Knowledgeable of stock rooms and inventory intake and kitting operations.
  • 5+ years’ experience in processing / cleaning of electronics and/or valves, piping and related fluid and/or auxiliary equipment and processes preferred
  • Knowledgeable of clean rooms, and cleaning equipment or willing to learn.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents
  • Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.
  • Must be a US Citizen
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, document, and monitor the performance of cleaning fixtures and process to support manufacture to the design intent.
  • Design, document, and monitor the performance of clean rooms, areas and flow benches to industry standards.
  • Design and performance of test fixtures to support testing to the design intent.
  • Coordinating the creation of equipment/fixture bills of material, purchase requisitions and capital expenditure forms.
  • Accuracy and generation of all drawings/procedures for a project or task.
  • Provide coordination, technical inputs, and approvals of CDRL items to Documentation Control consistent with the program schedule.
  • Ensure documentation releases remain on schedule.”
  • Provide and maintain the technical portion of the program/task schedule.
  • Timely communication of technical and schedule problems to Production Engineering Manager/Director/VP, Contracts Administrator and/or Program Manager when applicable.
  • Incorporation of customer/other disciplines comments to procedures and drawings in a timely manner.
  • Manage all duties per AS9100, ISO 9000, QP 4.1 and QP 9.0.
  • Reviewing and assessing compliance with customer’s component specifications and sub-level specifications as it pertains to producing the end item and sub-assemblies.  Coordination with other disciplines outside operations as required.  These are recorded in writing, and distributed to the Lead Engineer, Contracts Administrator, and/or the Program Manager, for transmission to the customer when Applicable.
  • Review of assembly, sub assembly and piece parts drawings for manufacturability as it pertains to: special processes, ease and quality of assembly, support of Lean manufacturing, test ability, ability to validate final assembly, and the ability to be processed with-in Marotta’s quality system, ERP/MRP and infrastructure.
  • Technical and priority direction to Technical writers, designers and Lower Level Engineers.
  • Managing the startup of a new production cell, cleaning equipment.
  • Perform training of lower level engineers and cleaning personnel
  • Provide Production Engineering support (analysis/design/specification/failure investigation/root cause analysis) for other departments/subcontractors/suppliers working on a program.
  • Support customer Audits.

  • Implement and Abide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to various regulatory and internal system requirements
  • Bring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required).
  • Facilitate training, as needed, to maintain a cross-trained workforce and to support operational goals and objectives
  • Abide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to various regulatory and internal system requirements
  • Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization
  • Actively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. to provide constructive recommendations and initiate actions to support company initiatives/goals
  • Consistently demonstrate commitment to company values
  • Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems
  • Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
  • Ensure that work area and work areas of direct reports are  clean, secure, and well maintained
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required
  • Attend job relevant training, seminars and/or task related shows.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to:  fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration
  • This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
  • Temperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, etc.
  • Some travel may be required for this position (5-20%)
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  Vision and color vision must pass job-required vision screening
  • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, stoop, or crouch, and move about the facility.
  • The employee may be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
This position is at our Montville, NJ corporate offices location.
