Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- A Feed Mill Associate is primarily responsible for loading and unloading ingredient trucks, while maintaining organization and cleanliness of work area. Performs housekeeping activities, general repair of equipment, and quality checks ingredients. Also responsible for compliance with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned work area
- Lift and handle 50+ lb bags of ingredient
- Operate industrial grade vacuum
- Pressure wash
- Assist with maintenance repairs as required, reporting equipment malfunction
- Drive Forklift, Sweeper, Tractor and Shuttle Wagon as required
- Weigh and unload incoming trucks and/or railcars
- Complete and maintain appropriate paperwork and reports as assigned
- All other relevant duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma preferred
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
- Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment; with operation and maintenance of equipment preferred
Physical/Environmental Factors:
- Walk, stand and perform physical labor throughout shift
- Lift and carry 60+ lbs
- Enter confined spaces, climb ladders to heights of 200+ ft
- Exposure to seasonal weather conditions, to include inclement weather
- Exposure to significant amount of airborne dust
- Exposure to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees, and humidity up to 100%
- Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels, requiring ear protection
