SUMMARY
Keeps working areas in production departments and outside building areas in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Follows oral instructions to ascertain each job function
Cleans dust, oil and grease from machines, piping and equipment.
Cleans floors in plant area. Picks up refuse from plant grounds and maintains area.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, barrels, racks, and shelves by hand or with forklift or crane.
Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination by forklift or crane.
Shovels loose materials such as sand, gravel or metals into machine hoppers or into vehicles and containers such as wheelbarrows, scrap truck, or barrels.
Operates forklift or crane to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Operates sit down Tennant parking lot sweeper.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one with supervisors other employees of the Company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear, push, pull and lift.
