Job Description
The LEA Project AWARE Coordinator is a 220-day position that will have overall responsibility for coordinating and completing activities to meet the goals of Project AWARE. Coordinating the comprehensive plan, coordinate with the other two selected LEAs and state management team, conduct environmental scans, assist in developing evaluation plan, work with mental health provider partners, develop and revise local and assist with state policies, collect and report data, participate in national multi-site evaluation, etc. Shall have experience in managing projects between local service systems and have expertise in the field of education, mental health, substance abuse or juvenile justice. Job Description

Coordinating the comprehensive plan, coordinate with the other two selected LEAs and state management team, conduct environmental scans, assist in developing evaluation plan, work with mental health provider partners, develop and revise local and assist with state policies, collect and report data, participate in national multi-site evaluation, etc. Shall have experience in managing projects between local service systems and have expertise in the field of education, mental health, substance abuse or juvenile justice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating local planning meetings: preparing agenda, maintaining meeting minutes
- Organizing and implementing local trainings
- Complete monthly data reports and review quarterly progress reports from the data team before final submission
- Liaison between state coordinator and local team members
- Communicating with team regarind the project
- Managing local grant funds
- Participating in all conference calls with state coordinator and trainers
- Representing project at local meetings or with other relevant groups such a local school improvement councils
- Reporting regularly to state team and other state level leadership, as appropriate
- Providing daily oversight of the grant requirements and budget to ensure the comprehensive plan and implementation are fully met
- Supervising the work of the AWARE School-Based Mental Health Professionals to ensure requirements of the grant are being met
- Seek out appropriate grant funding opportunities to sustain the goals of Clay County's Project AWARE program
- Have an understanding of the PBIS framework and support schools in collaboration with the PBIS Technical Assistance Center to review data and make adjustments as needed
Qualifications
- Master's Degree with background and experience related to administration in health services, mental health, education, or related field and a minimum of five years of experience with public schools, public health, and grants management is desired.
- Demonstrated background and experience related to administration in health services, mental health, education, or related field; experience in program planning, development and implementation; and experience in working with professional staff. Supervisory relations: The AWARE-LEA Community Project Manager will report to the LEA Superintendent and AWARE-SEA Project Coordinator with Marshall's Center of Excellence in Recovery. This SEA Project Coordinator will coordinate efforts with the WVDHHR Co-Coordinator and Evaluation Partner with all being supervised by the Project Director with the WVDE.

Travel
In-county travel is required, as well as AWARE-funded partners' meetings out of state in year 1, 3, and 5 and other pertinent in-state and out-of-state travel.

Salary
$65,000.00
