Description:
Under general supervision of the principal, and under the close direction of a teacher or teachers, performs a variety of tasks. The overflow aide positions are filled on an "as needed" basis determined by actual class enrollment, and is considered a temporary position.The overflow aide will provide individual and group assistance as needed to provide the students adequate instructional services planned by the classroom teacher. In addition this position will supervise students on the playground. The combined schedule of duties will be up to 6 hours per day.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, plus two years post secondary education. Previous experience working with elementary school age children preferred.
