Duties and Responsibilities:

• Practice safe driving habits
• Follow all state truck safety regulations and standards
• Complete documentation for mileage and cargo; confirm inventory matches shipping documents
• Refuel vehicle and check/replace oil as needed
• Inspect truck daily for damage or Maintenance problems (tire wear, dents, etc.)
• Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors
• Maintain vehicle equipment; clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed; keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter
• Able to lift more than 50 lbs.

Requirements:

• Must have one year of recent commercial driving experience.
• All applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Valid CDL Class C Driver License with a clean 10-year DMV record, must provide K4
• Must be able to successfully pass drug/physical and background screening
• No Restrictions preferred
• Physical requirements; while performing the duties of the job is to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, carry and manipulate large and heavy items.

Skills:

• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Vast knowledge of local cities and routes
• Able to deliver and pick up in a timely manner
• Able to speak with customers in a professional manner
