Position Summary:
Southeastern Food Merchandisers is seeking Class B CDLRoute/Ice Cream Delivery Drivers for night-time deliveries. Our operation is based on dedicated route schedules, ensuring that you are home daily with no over-the-road work. Our fleet, leased and maintained by Penske, consists of units equipped with automatic transmissions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure on-time deliveries and accurate scanning of products within restaurants on scheduled routes with multiple stops
- Conduct all required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer in accordance with DOT regulations
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines
- Promptly report any safety hazards to the Transportation Supervisor
- Drive to scheduled locations and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Scan all items per company policy
- Unload products from trailers, scan, and transport them to designated customer storage areas
- Conduct damage control checks on items
Required Qualifications:
- Current valid Class B CDL license
- High school diploma or state-issued GED
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
- Must pass post-offer drug screening and DOT physical
- Must pass MVR and background check
- Valid DOT Health Card
