CDL A Job Description

As a Class A Linehaul Driver with PITT OHIO, you primarily drive during overnight hours from terminal-to-terminal or to a relay point and then return to your home terminal. We ask that all our CDL A drivers perform all duties in accordance with company polices and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.

CDL A Responsibilities

• Drives a commercial vehicle safely primarily in our road operation during overnight hours
• May occasionally have to make a customer delivery or pickup.
• Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.

CDL A Requirements/Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of CDL A experience OR one year of experience with diploma from a driving school
• Must obtain a Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 36 months.
