- Transport petroleum products over land to our stations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Meet all Federal Motor Carries Guidelines
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- A minimum of two (2) years experience, 200k miles in the operation of tractor/trailer equipment
- Must be 23 years old of age or older
- Each driver must qualify physically, and obtain a Medical Examiners Certificate under the requirements of 49 CFR, Section 391 43-49 of the Federal Motor Carries Safety Regulations.
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations (within last 3 years) , along with no current license suspension or revocations.
- No more than four (4) moving violations in the last 36 months and no more than two (2) in the previous 12 months.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- No preventable accidents involving fatality, bodily injuries treated away from the scene
- Valid CDL with proper endorsements, or Chauffer License(where applicable) in state of resident.
