Class A Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Class A Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a Class ADump Truck for transportation of materials, predominantly dirt, within a 50-mile radius. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy-duty vehicles, adhering to DOT regulations, and safely loading and unloading equipment using a trailer. Attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate a Class ADump Truck to transport materials, primarily dirt, to and from designated locations within a 50-mile radius.
2. Safely load and unload equipment, including heavy machinery, using a trailer attached to the Dump Truck.
3. Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies while operating the Dump Truck.
4. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation and compliance with maintenance requirements.
5. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries made.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
7. Monitor vehicle performance and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
8. Follow designated routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation, safety, and maintenance.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the interior and exterior of the Dump Truck and trailer.

Qualifications:

1. Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a Class ADump Truck Driver or similar role.
3. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
4. Ability to operate heavy equipment and safely load and unload materials using a trailer.
5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
7. Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
8. Physical strength and stamina to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
9. Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
10. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
