Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly rate of $30.00 per hour with overtime at $45.00 per hour (OT must be approved in advance.)

About the opportunity
In this position, you’ll join a highly experienced team of certified professionals who are known for their ability to remove enormous trees using large cranes and equipment. Your role will include operating the equipment needed to move the trees to their next destination where they are recycled; turned into slabs, chips, mulch, dimensional lumber, or heat energy.
The person who fills this position must be someone who enjoys being a driver, and who has a history of working safely. He/She/They will work alongside our Foremen on a wide variety of commercial and residential tree removal projects as well as operate heavy equipment at multiple yards in the East Bay.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including:
- ●Driving A Commercial Truck around the greater Bay Area
- Operating heavy equipment for a Crew Supervisor who directs each day's efforts
- Performing emergency tree services: removing fallen trees from driveways, structures, etc.
- Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies
- Other driving-related projects as they arise
Requirements, Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Two or more years of heavy-duty Commercial Truck experience
- Clean and current California Driver's Class-A License
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Physically fit, able to operate equipment that requires stepping up into the machine
- A proven record of safely doing your job efficiently
- The standard stuff: Communication (accurate written, and verbal), time management, problem solving, being able to take notes on your phone, and being able to work an 8-hour shift without using your phone for non-work purposes (except at lunch and break)
- Soft skills: The ability to lead by example, being extremely hardworking, being emotionally intelligent (having the ability to identify and manage one’s own emotions, as well as the emotions of others.)
- Bonus points for certifications or coursework related to driving heavy equipment, trucks, safety, etc.
- Bonus points for having served in a supervisory position
