This position is responsible for managing cash in transit/cargo claims in a fast-paced work environment at the direction of the company's National CIT Claim Manager. The position requires technical and analytical skills to ensure proficiency with the Company's claim systems, data analysis, and research tasks in a high-volume work environment. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing and maintaining key relationships with management, field loss prevention, operations personnel, and our customers.
Accountabilities:
- Manage claim transactions using multiple data systems for cash in transit/cargo claims.
- Analyze loss data to identify and report trends associated with cash in transit/cargo claims and processes.
- Identify and track changes and/or improvements that result from trends identified within claims loss data and report to the National CIT Claim Manager.
- Research and analyze claim materials, receipts, and/or like documents to support claim resolution.
- Drive timely resolution and mitigation of claims and the claims process.
- Manage the monthly financial process associated with internal claims programs.
- Enter, adjudicate, and pay claims utilizing established guidelines, both timely and accurately.
- Close attention to detail/execution, i.e., accurate payments, with and adherence to the Company's claim guidelines.
- Accountable for interaction with internal and external customers, providing a high caliber of professional service and support.
- Willingness to take initiative, anticipate issues, and offer solutions.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Primary Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business or like field preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of direct claims experience, is desired.
- Strong financial background, work experience, and/or education preferred.
- Excellent knowledge and proven skills with all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong research skills, online internet search engines, etc.
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task successfully.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to empathize with, actively listen to, and deal sensitively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Familiarity with online claim systems is a plus.
