Job Description
Shift: Monday-Friday (7:00AM – 4:00PM) | Pay: $ $22.75
Claims Intake Agent supports the EHS, Risk and Claims department by acting as a call center coordinator between store, distribution centers, and corporate locations and intake claim information on property, casualty, environmental and regulatory incidents. Evaluating and triaging severity and providing proper notification for claim escalation, TPA and carrier notifications. This position will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day claim intake function based on field activity and call volume.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES include the following along with other duties as assigned:
- Answers, triages and makes phone calls in a call center environment
- Enters callers intake information by asking pre-determined triage and claim questions into information system
- Supports and assists EHS, Risk and Claims team in the intake and investigation of incidents as assigned
- Reviews and disseminates mail and claims related correspondence and shares with the appropriate area
- Assists in capturing, organizing and preserving related materials and files
- Route and respond to inquiries, emails and mail for the Claims team as indicated

- Communicates effectively with internal store, distribution centers, and corporate locations and intake claim information on property, casualty, environmental and regulatory incidents while providing a high degree of customer service.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fluid environment
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced call center type of environment
- Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information
- Ability to work independently under tight time constraints
- Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous activities, events and projects
- Ability to quickly solve problems
- Ability to manage confidential information while using sound judgment and discretion.
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills; Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), HR and EHS/Risk Information Systems
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required
Prior call center or Claims Intake experience preferred
