Form of workSummary: In this role you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating and negotiating settlement of assigned claims with the goal of serving the customer and ensuring quality file handling.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Pursuant to Company line of business strategies, statutory regulations and good faith claim settlement practices; investigates, evaluates and settles assigned PL Casualty claims within limit of authority. Summarizes cases in excess of authority and submits to managers/specialists for approval
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with both internal and external customers providing excellent customer service.
- Provide assistance with developing/mentoring newer claims associates as applicable.
- Delivers consistent high-quality claims handling results.
- Maintains timely review of file, reserve adequacy and evaluation of files for settlement purposes according to current strategy.
What You’ll Bring To The Company:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, plus 3 years claims handling experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Must possess strong communication and organization skills and ability to work with personal computer. Requires excellent decision-making ability, a broad depth of experience and capacity to manage work to meet time sensitive deadlines. Demonstrated ability to interact with people in a professional manner, determine coverage, investigate, and determine liability. State specific adjusters’ license may be required.
