Claims and Receivables Supervisor

The Claims and Receivables Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the regional claims, receivables and vendor payables team located within DFFF's sales structure. This role will ensure that the team is reviewing and resolving customer discrepancies and Receivables as well as ensuring payments to vendors is occurring in a timely and accurate invoices. Internally, the Claims and Receivables Supervisor will work with Sales, Logistics, Shipping and Accounting Teams. Externally, the position will work with customers and Vendors. This position will report to the Claims and Collections Manager and is located in Salinas, CA.
Essential Job Responsibilities;

1. Responsible for the direct supervision of claims & receivables staff members to include but not limited to ensuring job tasks are completed timely, goals and service levels are met, assess and evaluate workload, coordinates working schedules, approval of timesheets, requests for time off, and performance reviews. Ensures that direct reports follow company policy and procedures by coaching, counseling, and disciplining when necessary.
2. Lead the Account Receivable process and procedures for the Sale Offices.
3. Provide guidance and training to direct reports in support of Invoice Adjustment (Claims and Discrepancies) and Account Receivable Responsibilities.
4. Manage Customer relationships from A/R perspective.
5. Oversee Customer Invoice Adjustment Process for Sales Offices including communication with Shipping, Transportation, Sales and Customer as needed. Assist DAX support team for any questions related to Sales Invoice Adjustments and Sales A/R items.
6. Manage Accounts Receivable email box, payment status, requests, and other inquires.
7. Support year-end internal and external requests.
8. Work with Manager regarding Training and Documentation of Accounts Receivables.
9. Other Duties as assigned.

Education & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in accounting from an accredited institution preferred.
• Three or more (3+) years' experience in an account payable, accounts receivable or general accounting environment.
• Minimum of two years (2) in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience with ERP systems required.

Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to sit and view a computer screen with use of a keyboard for extended periods of time.
Schedule

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
• 100% office based position/No remote work
