Form of workDeLong's, Inc. is a steel fabricator that produces steel bridges and miscellaneous bridge components for the transportation industry and structural steel for the building industry. The company, founded in 1912, has approximately 190 employees in Jefferson City and Sedalia, Missouri. We are seeking applicants for a full-time Civil/Structural Engineer at our Jefferson City location. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications and confer with contractors and customers on structural steel design issues.
- Work with DeLong's estimating department to calculate cost and determine the feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data.
- Develop engineering designs, plans, and specifications for internal capital improvement projects conforming to construction and safety standards.
- Coordinate with DeLong's drafting department to prepare internal engineering and design documents to be used by DeLong's production department.
- Develop engineering design of structural steel members and connections for projects fabricated by DeLong's.
- Experience in CAD drafting software (i.e. Autocad, SDS-2, Tekla, etc).
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
