Join Tetra Tech’s Water Infrastructure team which has been ranked #1 in Water by Engineering News Record for 20 consecutive years! The successful candidate for the Group Leader position will work with a dynamic team of project managers, project engineers, technical specialists and associated staff to provide direction in project delivery and technical expertise for the geographic area. They will join the Central Region leadership team as an Oklahoma licensed Professional Engineer with experience in analysis and design of water and wastewater projects. The candidate is required to supervise and interpret the work performed by junior staff.
Your Role:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Forecast staff workload and balance resources to support regional projects.
- Identify strategic recruits to help grow our Oklahoma offices.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design and engineering of water main, booster pump stations, gravity sewers, force mains, lift station condition assessment and water and wastewater treatment plants, including process selection, equipment specification, layout design and civil design.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and environmental regulations pertaining to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance.
- Implement robust quality control processes to ensure design integrity, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
- Collaborate and liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to establish project objectives, resolve technical issues, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support development, management and maintenance of client relationships on projects and develop new business with existing and new clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s preferred
- 8-15+ years of experience showing increasing responsibility.
- Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil Engineering, registered in Oklahoma or ability to obtain licensure in Oklahoma.
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, etc.
- Technical writing and communication skills.
- Involvement with industry/technical organizations such as AWWA, APWA, OWEA, or others.
