As a Civil Engineer, each day unfolds with a sense of purpose and excitement. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you embark on a journey to create innovative solutions for community engineering projects. In the afternoon, you meet with clients, acting as their advocate and building strong relationships. As a mentor, you guide and nurture the growth of EITs and designers.
Your day-to-day activities may include:
- Leading and managing Civil Engineering projects, which encompass water, sewer, drainage, and grading elements.
- Utilizing AutoCAD and Land Desktop software to prepare original drawings and revisions for Civil Engineering projects.
- Conducting engineering studies, acquiring funding, and navigating the permitting process for successful project implementation.
- Acting as a client advocate, ensuring client satisfaction and building lasting relationships.
- Fostering a positive work environment, mentoring team members, and promoting a culture of Safety, Balance, and Fun.
Some basic qualifications for success include:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering coupled with a valid P.E. License.
- Demonstrated a minimum of five years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering projects.
- Proven strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.
- Adaptable and open to working both in the office and on various project locations, embracing diverse challenges and environments.
