As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: Reviews contractor shop drawings for conformance with the contract documents (10%). Reviews contractor RFIs (5%). Conducts on-site observation, water quality sampling, lab sample collection to support pilot testing for design and construction of a new water purification facility (25%).
Assists a licensed professional engineer with engineering designs involving site layout development, site grading and drainage, surface water conveyance and stormwater infrastructure (25%). Performs data management and data collection to support the development of civil design sheets (5%). Assists with preparation of construction document specifications (10%).
Supports the development of permit applications for stormwater and Civil Engineering designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations (10%). Supports the development of watershed and stormwater master planning studies to investigate and provide recommendations for flood control - assists with data collection, hydrologic/hydraulic calculations and report preparation under the direction of a professional engineer (10%). May work from home up to two days per week.
Up to 20% domestic travel, as well as travel to worksites within the region, is required.
