Job Description

AECOM Transportation is seeking a Civil Design Engineer. The position will focus on design and construction of airside civil projects including runway, taxiway, apron, and site designs throughout the United States.  

This is a remote work opportunity.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates all phases of design on mid-sized airside civil projects
  • Independently prepare or oversee preparation of design deliverables
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers
  • Interact with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers as well as architects
  • Client interface
  • Candidate shall use computer software as a tool, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or similar field from an accredited ABET university + 4 years of airside civil, aviation or site design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • FE / EIT Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7 years ofairside civil, aviation or site design experience
  • Pennsylvania PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • MS Degree from an accredited ABET university
  • Construction experience 
  • Project team leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $85,000 - $115,000. Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated range.
