The Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ (BCA) Commercial Item Transfer at Price (CITAP) team is seeking Experienced Engineers (Level 3) to join our team in Everett, WA. CITAP engineers provide engineering leadership and integration of CITAP contracts and projects on behalf of BCA and BGS-C. CITAPs are intercompany transfers from non-commercial (US Military, FAA, NASA, and Foreign Governments Projects) to commercial (BCA and BGS-C) under PRO 6233 and BPI 5771. The BCA and BGS-C teams are comprised of multi skill areas across the enterprise.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

The CITAP engineer is responsible for SOW in three phases of the CITAP Lifecycle, which consist of Development, Execution, and Closure/Billing:

  • Development

    • SOW collaboration and integration w/requesting and performing orgs to produce SOW with clearly written tasks, deliverables, ground rules & assumptions

    • SOW estimating and pricing

    • Proposal acceptance w/ Work Authorization

  • Execution

    • Project Management (e.g. project plan/schedule, cost, deliverables)

    • Change Management

    • Risk and Issue mitigation

  • Closure/Billing

    • Requirements Validation

    • Task and deliverable reconciliation vs. SOW intent and requesting org requirements

    • Submittal: Billing/Closure

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline.

  • 2+ years’ experience performing complex engineering or integration work.

  • 5+ years' engineering experience in an engineering function.

  • Strong project and risk management skills/knowledge

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be a self-starter, adept at leading complex projects and influencing people across multiple organizations.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex scenarios with diverse internal and external personnel (peers, executive leadership, suppliers and airline customers).

  • 3+ years of experience developing engineering statement of work

  • Experience leading and/or managing complex projects.

  • Flexibility, adaptability and comfortable with a variable work statement.

  • Highly competent in systems thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills

  • Fosters a healthy, creative and productive team environment.

  • Work within the service life cycle of aerospace products.

Typical Education/Experience ( Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.
