CINEMATOGRAPHER & CREATIVE PRODUCER

FOX13 Memphis Creative Services is looking a Cinematographer and Creative Producer for our in-house advertising team to grow television ratings and digital audience, as well as being a creative force for our brand. The position is an opportunity to explore all aspects of television marketing offering candidates the opportunity to get involved with commercial retail, build brands, shoot, edit and direct image campaigns and aid in marketing a news organization on all platforms. You will work with an Emmy award winning and Promax nominated team of producers, graphic designers and community engagement specialist.

The ideal applicant is someone who excels in cinematography working on both DSLR’s and Cinema camera’s and can create new, unique and innovative content for a news brand in a competitive market. They will have a working knowledge of Adobe Suite with a focus on Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects. An eye for detail and learning new skills are the keys to success. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Creative Services Director to produce image campaigns, targeted special reports, and proof of brand marketing as well as a opportunities to work on retail commercials for clients. They will be proactive in all facets of the role, specifically in the production of station image, proof of brand spots, outside media, digital and social brand integration, commercial production and station community initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct, Shoot, Edit Station Image Campaigns

• Experience with Cinema Cameras, DSLR’s and audio equipment

• Experience editing with Adobe Premier

• Creating Motion Graphics using After Effects

• Recognizes how to craft an engaging message focused on viewer benefit

• Film talent in-house and on location including b-roll and process shoots

• Working closely with anchors and reporters on special assignments

• Maintaining camera equipment, executing repairs and upgrades when needed

• Familiar with marketing research and understands the importance of targeting a specific audience.

• Aid in the development of audience advertising across a wide range of media platforms including television, radio, print, digital and social media outlets.

• Planning and execution of the sweeps plan and outside media budget.

• Partner with Sales Managers, Account Executives and Clients to produce outstanding creative to help achieve revenue goals.

• Collaborate with the station’s Director of Community Affairs to support the Fox 13 Family Focus brand.

• Bachelor’s degree in Film/Video production, Marketing/Communications or equivalent preferred. Can be substituted for 2 years experience in news, media marketing, advertising or film production

• Two years in television marketing, creative services, commercial production or similar preferred

• Working knowledge of Cinema Cameras (C300) CANON DSLR’s and Audio Equipment

• Intermediate/Advanced Skills in non-linear editing with Adobe Premier and After Effects

• Superior verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail and strong organization skills

• Able to lift more than 50lbs
