POSITION SUMMARY
The Secondary Substitute Teacher is responsible for all organization, teaching and supervision within the area of their responsibility. Substitute teachers report directly to the Assistant Principal or Principal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

DUTIES

• Maintain professional standards within the teaching assignment, carrying out the classroom teacher's lesson plans to always ensure the health and safety of the children.
• Fulfill after school carpool duties as assigned.
• Leave classroom in neat condition, student daily work corrected, and summary notes for the classroom teacher.
• Relate any areas of question or concern to the Assistant Principal or Principal.
• Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, students and their families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
CHRIST CENTERED

• Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
• Ongoing affirmation of, alignment with and support of CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
• Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years successful demonstration of classroom management and engagement preferred.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION

• Teaching Certificate or Substitute Certificate preferred but not required.

SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of Office 365 preferred but not required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
