Chocolate Technician--2nd Shift 2p-11p

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $250MM to $1+B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. We have an opening for a Chocolate Technician position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth.

A ChocolateTechnician is a vital member of our production team, assists in the process of creating our signature square shaped caramels by tempering/manage the chocolate production! This is a new role that will give you more flexibility as you learn different roles to be adapt to what's needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage chocolate enrobber and bottomer machine to ensure temperature levels remain constant.
• Monitor Stringer machine as you check for quality, weight, & uniformity
• Cleaning and sanitizing the equipment used to make candy;
• Quality control of caramel squares on production line to check for weight & uniformity
• Tracking inventory using ERP system;
• Consistently adding sea salt to machine;
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Preform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED;
• Self-directed;
• Ability to work well with peers and supervisors;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep production lines running efficiently.

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8-10 hours;
• Walking up and down stairs;
• Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently;
• Working in slightly elevated temperatures;
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.

Afternoon 2pm to 11pm shift Monday through Friday. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to work daily overtime as well as weekends as needed.

The starting pay rate is $17.06 per hour plus $1.00 shift premium for afternoons and midnights.
