Objective
Our Tax Services department is seeking an experienced Taxation Specialist to ensure our business clients' tax filings and payrolls are following government and local regulations. This role involves working with businesses with different tax structures (Partnership, LLC, S Corp, C Corp... etc.)
Responsibilities
- File federal and multi-state payroll tax returns and income tax returns for Partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, individuals, and related income tax documents
- Prepare financial transaction for accuracy, establish Chart of Accounts, generate 1099's and W-2's reports
- Reconcile payroll withholding accounts and complete Form 941 reconciliations to general ledger
- Process new hire and termination procedures for clients, prepare payroll for business clients on a regular basis
- Administer employment tax related activities such as vendor tax registration, statutory filing and deposits
- Provide administrative support including updating database, filing paperwork, scanning documents
- Perform data entry by inputting and maintaining financial records into tax software
- Stay up to date with tax regulations, policies and practices governing wage payments, distributions and recordkeeping across multiple jurisdictions
- Handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English
- At least 1 year of payroll preparation and payroll tax filing experience
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping/AP/AR
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, process paperwork efficiently
- Positive learning attitude, friendly demeanor and good team player
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, PayChex, or iSolved Proficiency in ProConnect or other tax software, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
