The Woodward Children's Ski Coach will be an essential member of Woodward Park City's Progression team. The Woodward Park City Coach works directly with guests and is responsible for promoting Snowsports and actions sports by providing safe, enjoyable, and effective training and instruction sessions for our guests. They are also responsible for teaching all ages and ability levels and creating proper skill progressions based on ability. This includes progressions in the Woodward Hub and out on the Woodward Park City mountain. Safety, fun, and progressive/innovative learning are top priorities at all times.

Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach beginner to advanced ski lessons.
- Teach group and private lessons, classes, day camps, and special events
- Inform and enforce all safety rules and policies including wearing helmets, PARK SMART, ATML, etc.
- Provide general instruction and safety oversight during daily sessions in zones.
- Proactively engage with participants at all times.
- Ability to break skills down into easily definable steps
- Understand multiple action sports including snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, BMX, parkour, mtn. bike, scooter,, etc.
- Be active in attending coaching clinics, spotting clinics and additional training and possibly lead clinics of your expertise
- Be a part of a unique team, set a positive example and be a role model
- Set up and tear down of Winter sports lesson areas
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be 18yrs old or older.
Preferred Skills:
- Instructor, coach, or teaching certification preferred (PSIA, AASI or USASA)
- Understanding of snow and action sports tricks, progressions, and terminology, and/or experience working on trampolines or in a gymnastics setting.
- Experience working with children, teens, and adults
- Experience working in a camp setting
- High-school diploma or equivalent preferred
- First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
- Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments
