Family Counseling Services is in search of a Children's Community Provider, to work with kids during and after school.
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Provider must exhibit a compassionate and ethical relationship to their clients.
- Provider must have a team outlook as they will be working on a team of Providers.
- Provider must at all times maintain a professional standard of practice while representing FCS in the office and in the community. *
CLIENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Assistance in gaining and utilizing skills necessary to function in and outside of session.
- Implementing obtainable goals for clients within Providers scope of practice.
- Development of coping skills and symptom management to reduce the symptoms that are barriers to successful living.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly charting of information as required in a timely and accurate manner. Case notes must be written within 24 hours of service.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

- Provider will be expected to:
- Use a person-centered approach, provides personal care, support and safety for participants
- Interact with clients to model, encourage, and reinforce appropriate behavior and gain participants' assistance and involvement
- Conduct well-defined therapeutic training sessions with people with intellectual disabilities on a one-to-one and group basis
- Interact with participants to provide training in areas such as: social interaction, leisure time activity, planning and decision making
Qualification requirements:
- Must have a bachelorss degree in: Psychology, Education, or ABA
- Must obtain a current and cleared Criminal History and Background check. Once hired, must also disclosed to Compliance Officer any additional criminal convictions, pending investigations, or pending charges. This information will be passed onto the DHW.
- Must have, or be willing to obtain current CPR & First aid certification for children
- Must have or be willing to successfully completed the “Assistance with meds” certificate
- Must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, valid auto-insurance, and auto-registration.
