Religious Education Support Staff
Job Posting — Infants & Toddlers
Arapaho UMC Richardson is hiring childcare staff for infant & toddler classrooms.
Qualified candidates will have experience caring for children between 6 months and 3 years, including those with neurodivergent diagnoses. Candidates must have basic knowledge of first aid procedures and either certification of CPR for Child & Infant or willingness to complete training within the first 6 weeks of employment (AUMC paid).
Employment is contingent on completion of Ministry Safe training and a completed background check.

Available shifts include:
9 AM to 12:15 PM Sunday (weekly)
8:45 AM to 11:15 AM Friday (twice a month)
5:30 PM to 9 PM Saturday (once a month)
Other times as needed for special events

Reports To: Director of Children’s Ministries
Position Status: Part Time
Job Description: Religious Education support staff provide dependable, safe, and nurturing care to children aged 6 months through approximately 30 months. Staff may serve on Sunday mornings; during regular events, such as Family Night Out; and for special occasions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Uphold and support the AUMC vision statement and pillars of community life
- Actively engage in age-appropriate supervision of infants and toddlers; assuring each child’s safety and wellbeing, especially when feeding, diapering, and playing
- Support learning experiences that nurture the play, creative expression, and curiosity of each child
- Engage in relationships with children, families, staff, and clergy with dignity and respect
- Attend required Religious Education staff meetings each quarter
- Complete pediatric CPR and First Aid training every two years
- Maintain compliance with Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers*
- Meet all expectations and duties outlined in the AUMC Personnel Handbook and Children’s Ministries Addendum

Hourly Rate: The hourly rate for this position is $15/hour depending on experience.
