SalaryChristian Child Development Center seeks a cook to prep hot lunches along with snack and breakfast. Must be able to pass a state background check per licensing requirements. The shift is a 6-8 hour day with hours are between 8:00am-5pm. More hours available if willing to take on menu planning, food shopping, and USDA food program paperwork.
Must be able to complete paperwork as well as understand portion control and family style dining. Willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities of the Job:
- Produce breakfast, lunch, snacks and supper daily- Monday through Friday
- Cook meals according to CACFP specifications- we will teach you the requirements
- Maintain Food Production Log
- Portion cooked foods by class sizes
- Collaborate with educators on quantity of meals for each classroom
- Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen consistent with health and safety standards
- Put away food orders and organize storage areas
- Plan weekly food order
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
